Hi all, hope everyone had a good week and that you are trying your best to keep up with your schoolwork.
The word families that I would like you to focus on this week are ig, og and ug.
- Have children write (or dictate) a sentence or a story with some of the -ug words and then illustrate it.
- Ask students to pick two to four words from the list, copy them on paper, and then draw
- Make a flower stem with a round shape on top and print -ug inside the circle
- Cut out petal shapes to be added to the flower. Students take a blank "petal," write an –ug word, and, if possible, illustrate it. Each –ug word gets added around the centre to make a Word Family Flower.
- Also, just to remind you that Twinkl is a really great resource which is free at the moment. There are loads of great resources and information for parents if required.

where you will find lots of short reading activities to help your child, this is done by age so it is very helpful to move up or down a stage as required.
