We had just started revising subtraction on Friday. We practised subtracting 2 digit numbers with no renaming. I want you to try some 2 digit sums with renaming (knock next door and ask for more). Remember to write TU at the top to help you and to take away (not add!). You will need to write them on a page or in a copy. Take a photo of your work and email it to me.

You could try subtracting some 3 digit numbers:

Poem Ten Things Found in a Wizards Pocket .jpg

English Poetry:

Read the poem. Write the answers to the questions in your copy/on a page.

Find describing words (adjectives) used by the poet for the 5 things listed. Come up with your own 5 words for describing those things.

The next 3 questions are what you think yourself. for number 4 you will have to use your imagination!

Number 5 invites you to use your own descriptions of some of the things in the poem. Read the poem a couple of times and see if you can learn to

say it without looking at the page.

Click on age 7-9 to access our bookshelf.

TURTLES: Read "Oh Otto"

SEALS: Read "Cornflake Coin"

DOLPHINS: Read "Here Comes Trouble"

Read some of your book each night.

Practise retelling the story or contents of your book to a sibling or an adult by Thursday.

Fill in your reading log if you have your homework folder at home.

SPELLINGS

Look at your new list of spellings List 5.

See if you can see patterns in your list.

Write out the list and colour each pattern as we would in school.

Learn 4 words from your list each night using the look, say, trace, cover, write, check method.

Put each of those 4 spellings into a sentence.

Take a photo of your work and send it to your teacher.
