We had a lovely World Book Day celebration this year with a special collaboration between Junior Infants and 5th Class.
Our Junior Infants started things off by creating and drawing their own story characters. They came up with brilliant ideas, from heroes to magical creatures and they were very excited as they handed them over to 5th Class.
5th Class then took on the important job of turning those characters into full stories. They worked hard to make sure each character was brought to life in a way that would make Junior Infants proud.
The highlight of the day was when 5th Class visited the Junior Infant classroom to read their stories aloud. There were big smiles and some very proud young authors & illustrators in the room.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate World Book Day and a great chance for both classes to work together.
