Last month, fith class explored renewable energy, with a partuclar focus on wind energy. As part of their learning, the pupils investigated how wind mills work and how wind energy can be converted into power.
Once the class could confidently explain the process, they worked in groups to design their own model windmills. After completing their design plans, the construction phase began. To conclude the project, each group tested their model using a hairdryer to create wind power.
This activity gave the students a deeper understanding of renewable energy, while also developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
