Water safety is always important but never more so than in the summer holidays when we are more likely to be near the canal, paddling pools, swimming pools and the sea.
Water safety is usually taught in the final term of school as part of both aquatics in PE and personal safety in SPHE. As the children were not able to be taught these lessons in school, it is important that parents know where and how to access useful, childfriendly information and guidelines.

You can access the lessons on the above site. Then click on Primary School (PAWS) and select the class that your child/children is/are in. There are presentations and online interactive resources suitable for each class level.
Stay safe and enjoy the holidays.
