Hello everybody!
I hope you had a lovely weekend and had lots of fun keeping active at home last week. Try to continue to stay as active as possible everyday. Starting your day with exercise will make you feel great and you will also feel more awake and energized.

Call these sentences out so your child can practice writing them down correctly.
Repeat the sentence as many times as your child needs.
Sound out each word and try to spell it correctly.
If you’re not sure make your best guess.
Don't forget your capital letters and full stops.
Dictation: 1st class
- The pink pig was hot.
- The dog bit the bone.
- The cat was stuck in the tree.
- Get me the damp cloth.
- What time did you go to the shop at?
- Where is my school bag?
- I will brush my teeth.
- Can I play the game?

- The boy got a cramp in his left foot.

Story Time
Enjoy listening to Roald Dahl's story The Enormous Crocodile and then complete the activities below.
- In your copy write a paragraph describing the character of The Enormous Crocodile.
- Write as many sentences as you can using the word bank to help you.
- Draw a picture of The Enormous Crocodileor pick your favorite moment in the story and draw a picture of it.
Second Class:
- Describe the character of Roly Poly the Bird.
- Write as many sentences as you can and use the vocabulary in the word bank to write your sentences.
- Draw a picture of Roly Poly the Bird in your copy.
Last week you were using adjectives in your writing. Here is another activity for you to do in your copy.
Rewrite the sentences into your copy and circle the adjectives.
Practice writing your own sentences using adjectives.
Remember your capital letters and full stops.
Reading:
Continue to practice reading for at least 10 minutes everyday.
Remember to ask your child lots of questions about the story they are reading:
What is the title of this book?
Who is the author?
Who is the illustrator?
What do you predict will happen in this story?
What do you predict will happen next?
What is happening in the pictures?
Who is the main character in this story?
Can you describe the characters in this story?

Maths:
It is very important that you continue to practice counting forward and back from different numbers between 1-100 everyday.
Practice your tables -Last week I asked you to practice counting up in your 3's this week try counting up in 4's
Continue to practice telling the time this week:
1st - o'clock / half past/ quarter past
2nd - o'clock/ quarter past/ quarter to/ half past & five minute intervals.
