I hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend with your family and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Try to get outside to play games and have fun in the sunshine - remember to wear plenty of sun cream! cool

Find below some of this weeks activities for you to try. Give as many of the activities as you can a go, see what you get done. Again, please don't feel under pressure to complete everything. Feel free to pick and choose activities and work at a pace that suits you and your child.

Dictation:

Call these sentences out so your child can practice writing them down correctly.
Repeat the sentence as many times as your child needs.

Sound out each word and try to spell it correctly.

If you’re not sure make your best guess.

  • Can you describe the characters in this story?

Maths:

  • Practice counting forward and back from different numbers between 1-100 everyday.
  • Revise your tables - 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 10's
  • Find your deck of cards and play some card games like: go fish/ snap/ pairs/ higher or lower?/ addition & subtraction games etc.
  • Do a shape hunt around your house: 2D shapes - How many can you find? ( Circle, square, triangle, oval, rectangle) How many 3D shapes can you find ? ( Cuboid, sphere, cylinder, cube, cuboid, cone) Remember: 2D shapes are flat / 3D shapes stand up.

SESE:

  • With the weather being so nice at the moment its a great time to really explore the environment around you.
  • Learn some interesting facts about mini beasts in the slides below.
  • Then why not go outside and try your own mini beast search - record what mini beasts you find and where you them in your copy.
